CremeColors / AquaColors™ are acrylic artist's quality colors designed to be used with AquaCreme™ for maximum translucency. Use straight from the bottle or mixed with creme for all decorative painting, stenciling, murals, floorcloths, and other forms of artwork. AquaColor™ is a water base resin and non organic color grind specially formulated artist material. It is used as a color additive that is mixed into AquaGlaze® or AquaCreme™ to produce quality faux and decorative finishes. AquaColor™ is available in pigment and metallic colors. This material is unlike standard paint color tints in its formulated make up. AquaColor™ will dry to a hard, durable finish on its own unlike paint tints and will not bleed even in high concentrations.
It also has a natural translucent quality. AquaColor™ may be used on interior painted and exterior glazed and decorated surfaces and has excellent UV sunlight protection. AquaColor™ is normally used in AquaCreme™ and this combination dries to a durable finish (topcoat optional). AquaColor™ may be used in AquaGlaze™ instead of latex paint for very slow drying and great maneuverability for cloud effects and other soft decorative finishes. This combination, however, requires a carefully applied protective AquaGard™ clear coat for durability (spray coat is suggested).
AquaGard™ contains a Co-Solvent system that should be applied with caution over new or sensitive color or artwork. Lightly coat on the first coat followed by a heavier more aggressive application after the light first coat has dried. AquaColor™ may be applied by cheesecloth or pouncing brushes for stencil work. AquaColor™ should be stored in a cool dry location and be hand shaken every few months to ensure creamy consistency.
AquaColor™ should not be applied below 55 degrees F because application at low temperatures reduces the ability of this product to properly obtain a good film formation, thus reducing its durability
Available in a wide assortment of colors as well as metallics.
Sold in 8oz bottles.
